Description
The Southern Pines Grand Cru is a rich, complex, and dangerously smooth Belgian Dark Strong Ale. Originating from the ancient well water below the Belgian monasteries that inspired this beer, we duplicated Scourmont Abbey’s water. Its deep, garnet hue and dense, persistent head foreshadow wonderful aromas of raisins, plums, and spicy esters. The strong malt presence and toffee flavors from the Dark Belgian Candi Syrup are balanced by a low hop presence and smooth alcohol flavors. You may just find yourself consuming a few too many of these libations in celebration of the holiday season. Rooted in the monastic principles of selling to live and not living to sell, we hope you enjoy this with quietude and receptivity!
